Selling the whole car is not as good as selling parts? In the end, it is about competing in price and value.
Data shows that as of February this year, among the 144 listed automotive parts companies in A-shares, over half of the companies have forecasted a growth in performance by 2025, with dozens of companies reporting a net profit increase of over 100%. Meanwhile, the profitability of whole vehicle companies presents a different situation. Among the 15 whole vehicle companies that have disclosed their performance, only two are predicted to achieve profitability. The phenomenon of "selling components is better than selling whole vehicles" has complex underlying causes, one of which is that the future competition in the automotive industry cannot simply be based on price wars, but must shift towards competition at the value level.
