The "Regulations on Fire Safety Management of High-rise Buildings in Guangdong Province" will be implemented from April 1, 2026. In recent years, the frequent occurrence of fire accidents caused by electric bicycles entering buildings has been a common problem. This "Regulation" emphasizes various safety hazards of electric bicycles in many places. For example, it encourages the installation of intelligent devices to prevent electric bicycles and electric motorcycles from entering buildings in high-rise buildings; prohibits the carrying of electric bicycles, electric motorcycles and their batteries into the elevator cars of high-rise buildings, and prohibits electric vehicles from parking and charging in various fire safety spaces.
