Zhejiang issues guidelines to promote the high-quality development of the food industry

Recently, the Zhejiang Food and Drug Safety Committee Office, the Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, and 11 other departments jointly issued the "Guiding Opinions on Promoting High-quality Development of the Food Industry", specifying starting from five aspects, focusing on building the development pattern of "billion-dollar leading enterprises, billion-dollar clusters, trillion-dollar industries" in the food industry. It proposes to strengthen characteristic industries, continuously promote the upgrading and development of historical classic food industries such as West Lake Longjing Tea, Shaoxing Yellow Wine, Jinhua Ham that are included in the list of key national cultivation. Each year, a batch of food varieties with distinctive Zhejiang characteristics and great development potential will be identified for key promotion and development, and a comprehensive service platform for the entire chain will be established to expand the industry scale.
