The US Embassy in Lebanon announces its indefinite closure.

On March 3rd local time, the US Embassy in Lebanon announced that due to the ongoing regional tensions, the embassy will be "indefinitely closed" and all routine and emergency consular appointments have been cancelled. The embassy stated that it will notify when normal operations resume. Additionally, the US Department of State advises American citizens to leave Lebanon.
