For the first time, the total energy production in our country has exceeded 5 billion tons of standard coal.
According to the National Energy Administration, China's total primary energy production is expected to reach 5.13 billion tons of standard coal in 2025, surpassing the 50 billion ton mark for the first time, and the effectiveness of energy guarantee supply is the best in the "14th Five-Year Plan". The electricity generated from non-fossil energy sources continues to grow rapidly, with thermal power generation decreasing for the first time in a decade. In 2025, the country's new non-fossil energy electricity generation capacity will reach 112.1% of the total new electricity consumption in society, exceeding 50% for the fourth time since 2020. Non-fossil energy has become the main source of new electricity generation capacity during the "14th Five-Year Plan".
