At least 169 people have died in armed attacks in the northern part of South Sudan.

The Ministry of Information, Communication Technology, and Postal Services of South Sudan released a statement on the 2nd saying that at least 169 people were killed and 68 others were injured in an attack in the Abiemnom area of the Ruweng Administrative Region in the northern part of the country.
