On March 3, Ding Shiyong, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Vice Chairman of the CPPCC in Chongqing, stated at the CPPCC Economic Sector Residence that in order to increase farmers' income, it is necessary to first strengthen the industrial foundation. In the short term, poverty alleviation mainly relies on financial investment, but in the long run, the next step for rural revitalization is primarily through the development of rural industries, which can drive farmers to increase their income. At the same time, in order to attract young talents to stay in rural areas, it is essential to develop and strengthen related industries and ensure the income of young people, thereby helping the rural residents to become prosperous together. Regarding the empowerment of artificial intelligence in agriculture, Ding Shiyong mentioned that Chongqing is currently using drones for seeding and fertilization in agriculture, which has shown good results. In terms of promoting financial support for rural revitalization, Ding Shiyong stated that although progress has been made, more efforts are still needed. The lack of collateral for rural loans is a challenge, and in order to truly support rural development through finance, there is a need for exploration and innovation in financial policies. It is not sufficient to only support agricultural development through traditional bank loan models. Collateral such as property rights in rural areas, including homesteads, land tenure, and forestry rights, would be ideal. Ding Shiyong also mentioned that in order to increase farmers' income from property, breakthroughs need to be made in terms of quality. He suggested exploring the activation of unused houses in rural areas, utilizing rural tourism, and utilizing them through corporate operations.
