Due to the extension of the full groundings of airlines in the Persian Gulf region, some of the world's busiest airports are experiencing severe disruptions, causing chaos in travel to the Middle East and other regions, with airline stocks plummeting. Emirates suspended all flights to and from Dubai until Monday afternoon local time, warning that the disruptions would continue until Thursday. Etihad Airways extended the flight cancellations until Monday afternoon and Qatar Airways announced the suspension of flights to and from Doha due to the closure of Qatari airspace. The flight disruptions have also affected Asia, with Cathay Pacific Airways canceling some flights to the Middle East until March 5, and IndiGo's grounding extended until Tuesday. Cathay Pacific Airways dropped by 7% at the opening in Hong Kong, while Singapore Airlines briefly dropped by 7.5%, and Qantas Airways dropped by 10% at one point.
