From January to November 2025, the procuratorial organs handled a total of 24,029 cases of public interest litigation on food and drug safety.

At the press conference, Shi Weizhong, member of the Party Group and Deputy Chief Procurator of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, introduced that the Supreme People's Procuratorate has deployed the "Food and Drug Safety Benefit Road Action" supervision activities. From January to November 2025, a total of 24,029 public interest litigation cases involving food and drug safety have been filed, accounting for 19% of the total number of public interest litigation cases. The procuratorial organs across the country have focused on the prominent issues of food safety in new business formats, carried out special supervision on the safety of fresh foods in community group purchases, filed and handled more than 1,400 cases of community group purchase food safety, issued nearly 700 procuratorial suggestions, supervised and rectified more than 31,000 various central warehouses, grid warehouses, and self-pickup points, and promoted more than 51,000 warehouse points to be included in the supervision scope.
