On March 2nd, with the National Two Sessions approaching, Liu Yonghao, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of New Hope Group, has paid attention to the combination of artificial intelligence and animal husbandry. He has submitted a proposal titled "Promoting the Development of 'Artificial Intelligence + Animal Husbandry' to Promote the Development of Animal Husbandry". Liu hopes that by 2026, the No.1 Central Document will clearly propose "promoting the integration of artificial intelligence and agricultural development". The breakthrough development of artificial intelligence technology has opened up a broader space for us, but there are still challenges to be overcome, such as the relatively dispersed technology and data, lack of composite talents, and insufficient connection between industry, academia, and research. Liu Yonghao suggests including artificial intelligence equipment for animal husbandry in the agricultural machinery purchase subsidy catalog, and including the animal husbandry artificial intelligence data platform in the scope of digital agriculture pilot projects. Support should be provided to projects and funds from multiple dimensions such as hardware, computing power, algorithms, and data. Encourage universities to establish interdisciplinary programs on "smart breeding" and provide tax incentives to enterprises using artificial intelligence breeding technology. Establish a national major project on artificial intelligence breeding to support leading companies in forming innovative alliances with research institutions.
