Ship management company V.Ships Asia stated that an oil tanker, the MKD Vyom flying the flag of the Marshall Islands, was damaged near the coast of Oman in a suspected ballistic attack. Following an explosion in the engine room of the MKD Vyom, one crew member died, and the hull of the tanker sustained damage. There are no signs of pollution, and the vessel is heading towards a safe location for further inspection.
