On March 1st local time, the fire department in Minas Gerais state in southeastern Brazil announced that the death toll from the rainstorm disasters in Juiz de Fora and Uber has risen to 72 people. Currently, most of the search and rescue operations have been completed, and civil defense, military, and police departments are focusing on inspecting high-risk areas and resettling the affected residents.
