The South-to-North Water Diversion Project has finished transferring water during the winter period, with the Central Line Project transferring 16.48 billion cubic meters of water.
Journalists learned from the South-to-North Water Diversion Project Group in China that the ice period water transfer work for the years 2025-2026 was successfully completed. During this ice period water transfer, the central line project supplied a total of 1.648 billion cubic meters of water to Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and Henan, which is an increase of 158 million cubic meters compared to the plan; the eastern line project transferred 4.38 billion cubic meters of water out of the Dongping Lake, exceeding the winter water supply task for the year.
