The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs recently held a video conference to deploy measures to strengthen regular prevention of poverty caused by returning to poverty through employment assistance, and promote comprehensive rural revitalization. The period of the 14th Five-Year Plan is a transitional period for consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation and connecting effectively with rural revitalization. The scale of employment for the poverty-alleviated population in China has remained stable at over 30 million for five consecutive years, ensuring that there is no large-scale return to poverty. This year marks the beginning of the 15th Five-Year Plan and the first year of transitioning to targeted assistance as a norm. Local departments will accelerate the establishment of a mechanism system suitable for regular assistance, adhere to the dual-wheel drive of working outside the home and seeking employment nearby, focus on key areas and groups for assistance, continue to promote stable employment outside the hometown, expand employment space at the county level through multiple channels, and strive to improve the quality of employment. At the same time, they will strengthen the responsibility for regular employment assistance, continue to implement annual objectives, enhance departmental coordination, strengthen monitoring and scheduling, and ensure that there is no large-scale return to poverty caused by unemployment.
