Paid Care Leave is here! "Hubei Province Elderly Care Regulations" will be implemented starting from March 1st.

On March 1st, the "Hubei Province Elderly Care Services Regulations" came into effect. One of the most concerning provisions is that for those who care for elderly people who are unable to take care of themselves or are hospitalized due to illness, the employer should provide convenience and give a cumulative minimum of ten days of nursing time per year; for only children, the nursing time should be a cumulative minimum of fifteen days. The nursing period is considered as attendance, and the individual should receive the corresponding salary and benefits as regulated.
