Malaysian officials look forward to welcoming more Chinese tourists to Malaysia.
Malaysian Minister of Tourism, Art and Culture, Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi, stated on February 27 that Malaysia is optimistic about the Chinese market and will continue to optimize the structure of tourism products and the layout of flight networks, improve service quality, and further attract more Chinese tourists to visit Malaysia. Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi said that the Chinese outbound tourism market is accelerating its transformation, with a noticeable increase in demand for independent travel, in-depth cultural and tourism experiences, and educational exchange projects. Chinese tourists are becoming more mature, emphasizing overall quality, safety, convenience of payment, cultural content, and service stability. Malaysia needs to simultaneously upgrade tourism products and improve service standards to adapt to market changes. He pointed out that during this year's Spring Festival, several Chinese airlines increased their flights between Malaysia and China. Malaysia looks forward to deeper cooperation with more Chinese airlines in the future and strives to open more direct flights to major cities and second-tier cities in China.
