Announcement from the Ministry of Commerce: On February 24, 2026, First Solar, a company from the United States, filed an application with the United States International Trade Commission under Section 337 of the U.S. Tariff Act of 1930, accusing TOPcon solar cells, modules, components, and downstream products exported to the United States, imported into the United States, or sold in the United States of infringing its patent rights. They requested the initiation of a 337 investigation and the issuance of a general exclusion order, a limited exclusion order, and a cease and desist order. 47 companies from the United States, India, China, Vietnam, and others are involved in the case.
