Chilean lithium producer SQM announced that its net profit for the fourth quarter increased due to a favorable market price environment, which raised the average price of lithium and therefore improved performance. The global second largest lithium producer reported a net profit of 1.838 billion US dollars for the fourth quarter, a 53% increase compared to the same period last year. Revenue for the quarter increased by 23.3% to reach 1.32 billion US dollars, compared to 1.07 billion US dollars in the same period last year. Gross profit for the quarter increased by 52.7% to 448.5 million US dollars. SQM CEO Lilian Ramos stated: "The performance of our two main lithium businesses (Nova Andino Litio and International Lithium Division) in the fourth quarter of 2025 reflects record high sales volume."
