The National Bureau of Statistics released the Statistical Bulletin on National Economic and Social Development in 2025. The report indicates that the total production of pork, beef, mutton, and poultry meat was 100.72 million tons for the year, an increase of 4.2% compared to the previous year. Specifically, pork production was 59.38 million tons, an increase of 4.1%; beef production was 8.01 million tons, an increase of 2.8%; mutton production was 4.96 million tons, a decrease of 4.2%; and poultry meat production was 28.37 million tons, an increase of 6.7%. The production of poultry eggs was 34.98 million tons, a decrease of 2.5%. The production of milk was 40.91 million tons, an increase of 0.3%. The number of live pigs at the end of the year was 429.67 million, an increase of 0.5% compared to the previous year-end; and the total number of pigs slaughtered throughout the year was 71.973 million, an increase of 2.4% compared to the previous year. The total production of wood for the year was 139.37 million cubic meters, a decrease of 1.1% compared to the previous year.
