The Chinese Macau team won two gold and one silver medal.

The 2026 International Winter Artificial Intelligence Olympics closed in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana on February 27th, local time. The Chinese and Chinese Macau teams won two gold medals, one silver, and three honorable mentions, achieving outstanding results. The organizers highly praised and warmly congratulated the excellent performance of the Chinese athletes. The headquarters of the International Winter Artificial Intelligence Olympics is located in Slovenia and is organized by the International AI Research Center under the Joseph Stefan Institute. It is a high-level AI academic challenge event for global youth students, supported by UNESCO. This event is the second edition and attracted 95 participants from 24 countries and regions around the world. Both the Chinese and Chinese Macau teams participated for the first time, each sending 4 athletes.
