The Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the State Administration of Taxation signed a memorandum to deepen cooperation between the environmental protection tax collection management departments.
On February 27th, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the State Administration of Taxation signed a Memorandum of Understanding on deepening collaboration in the collection and management of environmental protection taxes in Beijing. This further deepens the collaboration between the two departments, using tax economic means to protect the environment, promote green economic transformation, and serve the construction of a beautiful China. Minister of Ecology and Environment Huang Runqiu and Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the State Administration of Taxation Hu Jinglin attended the signing ceremony. The signing of this memorandum is an important measure for the two departments to implement the Party's Third and Fourth Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee regarding improving the green tax system and promoting green and low-carbon development, as well as a specific action to establish and practice the correct view of achievements, promote the construction of ecological civilization in a coordinated manner, and enhance the modernization level of ecological environment governance. According to the memorandum, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the State Administration of Taxation will further deepen cooperation in information sharing, tax management services, regular reviews, joint supervision, and other areas, jointly guiding local ecological environment and tax departments at all levels to deepen cooperation, continuously expand the depth and breadth of collaborative governance, and promote efficient governance and high-quality development. Guo Fang, member of the Party Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and Zhao Jing, Deputy Director of the State Administration of Taxation, signed the memorandum on behalf of the two departments. Officials from relevant units of the two departments attended the ceremony.
