Danish Bank: Inflation data from various countries may increase the pressure on the European Central Bank to consider cutting interest rates.
Denmark's Joel Rossier of the bank stated in a report that the initial inflation data for France, Spain, and Germany in February, which was released on Friday, "if unexpectedly down, could increase pressure on the European Central Bank to consider lowering interest rates." The senior analyst mentioned that market pricing already reflects a loose bias, with an expected reduction of nine basis points this year, and expectations for rate cuts may further strengthen. However, Denmark's Bank predicts that the European Central Bank will maintain its policy rate unchanged over the next two years.
