Ministry of Emergency Management: Strictly control outdoor fires such as sacrificial fires and agricultural fires.
At the press conference held by the Ministry of Emergency Management today, the person in charge of fire monitoring and prevention introduced that spring has always been an important period for forest and grassland fire prevention and control. With the temperature rising and less rainfall, combined with concentrated human activities such as spring farming, outings, and tourism, the pressure on fire source control has increased significantly. The National Forestry and Grassland Fire Prevention Command and various regions and relevant departments will strengthen coordination and cooperation, leverage the professional advantages of departments, and enhance supervision of fire use in various industries. They will urge forest and pasture management units and individuals to fulfill their responsibilities for fire prevention and control, improve fire prevention infrastructure, increase patrol efforts, and ensure that management requirements are implemented. They will fully utilize the advantages of grid management and household-based protection at the grassroots level, and delegate specific responsibilities to the grassroots level of forest areas, mountain areas, and households. They will implement precise fire source control in coordination with human prevention, material prevention, technical prevention, and intelligent prevention, focusing on important periods, key populations, and major projects. They will strictly control outdoor fire use for sacrificial activities, agricultural activities, and construction activities in forest and pasture areas, strictly implement reporting and approval systems, strengthen pre-operation fire prevention education, and ensure safety supervision during implementation. During high fire risk periods, they will guide local governments at the county level and above to issue fire bans, strictly prohibit all outdoor fire use, and strictly manage residential fire use that may cause forest and grassland fires. They will deploy more forces to the frontlines, increase patrols in key state-owned forest areas, forest farms, and various types of nature reserves, set up fire prevention warning signs and signage at main entrance points to mountains and forests, increase fire prevention inspection checkpoints and dissuasion points, and firmly block fire sources outside forests at the foot of the mountains. They will further advance the dynamic elimination of major hidden dangers, crack down on illegal fire use, and conduct special operations such as "joint safety of forests and electricity" to solve problems and hidden dangers at the earliest possible stage.
