Media cites four informed sources reporting that the Venezuelan Ministry of Oil has temporarily suspended 19 oil production sharing contracts signed with private companies during President Maduro's administration. The suspension of the contracts has not yet affected Venezuela's oil and gas production; during the suspension period, the Venezuelan national oil company continues to sell the crude oil produced under these contracts. Venezuela and the United States will review the contracts and may recommend canceling some of them; the qualifications of the companies that signed the contracts will also be evaluated. The Venezuelan Ministry of Oil and the White House have not yet responded to requests for comment.
