According to reports, a senior executive from Chinese food delivery company Meituan announced on Thursday that the company has postponed its planned business launch in Rio de Janeiro next week, due to competitors signing too many exclusive cooperation agreements with local restaurants. Meituan began operations in three cities in the state of So Paulo last year and was planning to launch its "Keeta" app in Rio de Janeiro in early March. Currently, the platform has 39,000 restaurants and 115,000 delivery drivers. "All preparations - promotional activities, marketing, operational systems - are ready, but we are facing a reality check," said Mansano, vice president of business cooperation for Keeta in Brazil, in an interview with the media. Mansano stated, "We initially believed that the exclusive cooperation rate in the Rio area was between 8% and 10%, but the actual situation is very different from what we expected."
