Wang Xiaohui meets with senior chairman of Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Group, Xie Guomin.

On February 26th, Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, met with the senior Chairman of Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Group and President of the China Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Association, Xie Guomin, in Chengdu. During the meeting, Wang Xiaohui welcomed Xie Guomin and his delegation on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, and briefly introduced the economic and social development of Sichuan. He mentioned that Charoen Pokphand Group is an outstanding representative of Chinese enterprises and the first foreign-funded enterprise to invest in Sichuan after the reform and opening up, participating in and witnessing the prosperous development of Sichuan. Currently, we are thoroughly implementing the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on Sichuan's work and the decisions of the Party Central Committee, firmly shouldering the heavy responsibility of being a major economic province, and steadfastly promoting high-quality development. We are striving to compose a new chapter of modernization with Chinese characteristics in Sichuan, which also brings new opportunities for both domestic and foreign companies, including Charoen Pokphand Group, to develop in Sichuan. We hope that Charoen Pokphand Group will further increase its investment in Sichuan, accelerate the implementation of key projects, deepen cooperation in the entire agricultural industry chain, expand investment cooperation in areas such as biomedicine and automobile manufacturing, and achieve greater mutual benefits. We also hope that Mr. Xie Guomin will fully utilize his extensive influence in the overseas Chinese community to attract more overseas Chinese entrepreneurs to pay attention to Sichuan and invest in Sichuan. We will continue to create a favorable environment and provide convenient services for everyone to develop in Sichuan.
