Following "The Wandering Earth" and "Crazy Hot", domestic films once again gained favor with international streaming platforms. The science fiction film "Dreaming in the Milky Way", produced by Zhejiang Hengdian Film Industry Co., Ltd. under Hengdian Film and Television, is set to be released during the 2026 Chinese New Year holiday on Netflix, with a global release plan announced. It is reported that Netflix has already confirmed the advance purchase of exclusive global streaming rights for all regions except mainland China. The film is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in over 190 countries and regions worldwide in June 2026. The global release plan for the film has officially launched. According to the plan, the film will premiere in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, and several European countries in March 2026, and in Singapore in April, with more countries and regions awaiting release dates.
