Apple is in talks with banks and plans to launch payment services in India.

Apple is currently in talks with major banks in India and global card organizations to launch Apple Pay in India by mid-2026. Apple is negotiating with the Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India (ICICI) Bank, the Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) Bank, Axis Bank, as well as payment networks Mastercard and Visa for this plan. The Indian version of Apple Pay is expected to support both the Indian government's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and bank card payments.
