Wang Bin, the head of the Criminal Court of the Supreme People's Court, stated at a press conference on the work of the People's Court in lawfully punishing telecommunications and internet fraud and financial crimes held by the Supreme Court on February 26 that, in the next step, the court will focus on cracking down on key criminal groups, main members, the "financiers" of telecom fraud, the "snakeheads" organizing illegal immigration, organizations providing armed protection for cross-border telecom fraud, and related crimes such as deliberate murder, intentional injury, kidnapping, violence during telecom fraud, as well as money laundering through virtual currency and underground banks.
