Romania deploys fighter jets to respond to drones entering its airspace.
The Romanian Ministry of National Defense issued a press release on the 25th stating that two F-16 fighter jets were deployed to respond to a drone approaching the airspace. According to the Romanian Ministry of National Defense, in the afternoon of that day, the radar system detected a drone in the airspace adjacent to the country, and the air defense forces immediately initiated precautionary alert measures. At around 5:50 pm local time, two F-16 fighter jets stationed at the Fetesti Air Base were urgently deployed to respond. The report stated that the drone briefly entered Romanian airspace, then flew north and left, posing no direct threat to human life safety. At around 6:45 pm on the 25th, the alert measures were lifted and no aircraft wreckage was found at the scene.
