CaixaBank in a research report stated that Santander's cost control and plans for profit distribution to shareholders will be the core focus of the bank's Investor Day in London. The Spanish bank outlined its goals until the end of 2028. Analyst Benjamin Toms said, "We believe that today investors' attention will be on cost control and the potential for excess capital distribution at the end of this plan." Santander recently made deals in underperforming areas to expand its scale. He added that the next stage of their development will rely on cost-cutting measures and utilizing technology.
