The Director of the Louvre Museum in Paris resigns.

The lyse Palace, the official residence of the French President, announced on the 24th that the director of the Louvre Museum, Laurence des Cars, has submitted her resignation to the President. President Macron accepted her resignation and described it as a "responsible act". Des Cars has been serving as the director of the Louvre Museum since 2021, and her resignation comes more than 4 months after the robbery at the Louvre. It is reported that shortly after the robbery in October 2025, Des Cars had previously offered to resign but her resignation was not approved by the French Minister of Culture.
