During the Spring Festival holiday in 2026, the passenger volume on the Yangtze River reached 2.546 million, an increase of 17.3% compared to the previous year. There were no accidents in the area during the festival period, and waterway transportation was orderly, with smooth navigation channels and normal operation of ship locks. Since the start of the spring transportation season on February 2nd, the cumulative passenger volume on the Yangtze River main line has reached 4.592 million as of February 23rd, an increase of 7.0% compared to the previous year. In terms of freight transportation, during the Spring Festival period, key goods such as coal, oil, and grain on the Yangtze River main line amounted to 24.766 million tons, an increase of 9.6% compared to the previous year; the freight volume of ships entering and leaving ports was 60.235 million tons, an increase of 9.3% compared to the previous year.
