The Spring Festival holiday payment transactions continued to increase in 2026.

During the Spring Festival holiday in 2026, UnionPay and China UnionPay jointly processed a total of 39.302 billion transactions, amounting to 13.12 trillion yuan. The average daily transaction volume and amount increased by 37.45% and 19.26% respectively compared to the 2025 Spring Festival holiday. Among them, the average daily processing of transactions and amounts for overseas visitors to China increased by 78.10% and 44.33% respectively.
