As of February 23, the 2026 Spring Festival holiday has come to a close. During the 9-day holiday period, the Yangtze River Delta Railway transported over 21 million passengers, with an average of nearly 2.4 million passengers per day, representing an increase of over 12% compared to last year. On February 24, the first working day after the holiday, the Yangtze River Delta Railway is expected to transport 2.96 million passengers, with plans to add 621 additional passenger trains and rearrange 402 high-speed trains. The railway department predicts that major passenger flows will continue as travelers return to various cities in the Yangtze River Delta region before the Lantern Festival.
