Latest poll: Over half of American adults believe that Trump is "leading the country in the wrong direction"
On the eve of President Trump's first State of the Union address in his second term, a new poll jointly released by National Public Radio, American Public Radio, and Marist College shows that a majority of American adults believe that Trump is leading the country in the wrong direction during his second term as president. The survey, conducted from January 27th to 30th, found that 55% of adults believe Trump is making the country worse off, a 13 percentage point increase from his first term at the same time. The poll results show a clear partisan divide in evaluating Trump's performance in office. While 90% of Democrats believe the country is worse off than a year ago, 82% of Republicans believe the situation has improved.
