The US military reported attacking a "drug trafficking vessel" and killing 3 people.

On February 23 local time, the US Southern Command stated that the "Southern Spear" Joint Task Force carried out a strike on a ship believed to be operated by a terrorist organization on that day. The US military said intelligence confirmed that the ship was sailing along a known drug trafficking route in the Caribbean Sea and was involved in drug trafficking activities. During the operation, three male "drug trafficking terrorists" were killed. There were no US military casualties.
