The civil aviation is fully prepared to deal with the peak post-holiday return passenger flow.
The Spring Festival holiday is almost over, and civil aviation is facing a peak in return passenger flow. According to data from the Ministry of Transportation, on February 22, it is expected that the civil aviation passenger transport volume will reach 2.66 million passengers, an increase of 7.5% compared to the same period in 2025. Civil aviation units are fully prepared to deal with the peak of return passenger flow after the holiday, scientifically arrange flight capacity, optimize travel services, and ensure the safety and smooth travel of passengers. The North China Air Traffic Management Bureau dynamically optimizes flow control measures around factors such as high volume operations and complex weather conditions to improve overall operational efficiency. Beijing Capital International Airport strengthens coordination and collaboration with various departments, timely adjusts taxi and airport bus capacity, and ensures effective coordination between flights and ground transportation. Southern Airlines continues to increase the number of flights to and from the Northeast region, as well as popular routes to Xinjiang and Hainan, and further increases capacity by deploying wide-body aircraft. In response to the recent tight availability of air tickets for flights to and from Hainan, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has approved multiple batches of additional flights, adding more than 110 flights in Haikou, accurately flying to popular destinations such as Shanghai, Beijing, and Chengdu.
