President Trump has called on Netflix (NFLX.O) to fire board member Susan Rice or else face consequences. Previously, Rice had stated that the Democratic Party would take action against companies that "kowtow" to the President. Rice, who served as former President Obama's national security advisor and ambassador to the United Nations, is now serving in the Biden administration. In a podcast, she said that companies, news organizations, and law firms that now realize their actions are unpopular for complying with Trump's demands for loyalty will be held accountable if the Democratic Party regains power. She said, "If they think the Democrats will follow the old rules, they are sorely mistaken." Trump did not specify in his social media post what consequences streaming giant Netflix might face, but he has previously criticized other TV networks for content issues. FCC Chairman Brendan Carr also threatened to revoke broadcasting licenses for certain TV networks.
