A "parcel bomb" explosion occurred at the Argentine National Gendarmerie Higher School in the capital Buenos Aires on the 20th, injuring 4 people. According to media reports, at around 1 pm local time on the 20th, a "parcel bomb" exploded in a building of this military academy, causing 4 soldiers to be injured. Police said that the parcel that exploded was delivered three months ago and was stored in the building's mailroom, exploding on the 11th floor of the building that day. The recipient of the package was Diego Gasparuti, who served as the school's director from 2021 to 2022 and has since retired. After the explosion, all personnel in the building were evacuated, with federal police, city police, national gendarmerie, and medical emergency personnel arriving at the scene. The police bomb disposal unit is analyzing the other two parcels that were delivered around the same time. The Argentine National Intelligence Secretariat has been involved in the investigation.
