The Emergency Management Ministry working group inspects and guides the safe production of fireworks and firecrackers in Jingmen City, Hubei Province.

On February 20th, Song Yuanming, member of the Party Committee and Deputy Minister of the Emergency Management Department, and Zhang Wenbing, member of the Standing Committee of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee and Deputy Governor, went to Jingmen City, Hubei Province to inspect the safety production of fireworks and firecrackers on site, urging all localities to pay high attention to preventing the safety risks of fireworks and firecrackers and ensuring the safety of people's lives and property. The inspection team visited Zhanghe New District and Zhongxiang City of Jingmen City, conducted on-site inspections of retail stores and wholesale businesses of fireworks and firecrackers, and carefully checked the implementation of safety norms at retail points, storage management of wholesale enterprises, product flow registration, fire-fighting facilities, and storage conditions. They supervised the investigation and rectification of hidden risks on the spot and listened to the local reports on safety production work. Song Yuanming emphasized during the inspection that they should deeply learn from the recent two fireworks and firecrackers explosion accidents, adhere to the principle of putting people and life first, tighten the safety supervision responsibilities of all levels and departments and the responsibilities of enterprise entities, urge fireworks and firecrackers retail stores to strictly implement the "Five Prohibitions, Three Musts" eight hard measures, and resolutely defend the bottom line of safety production. Zhang Wenbing requested that all departments in the province should learn from these lessons, pay close attention to safety precautions in the field of fireworks and firecrackers, focus on key links such as production, transportation, storage, sales, and ignition, comprehensively investigate and rectify hidden risks, strengthen propaganda, guidance, and law enforcement inspections, and ensure the overall production safety and social stability in the province.
