Multiple villages in northwestern Nigeria have been attacked, resulting in 33 deaths.
The Police Command in Kebbi State, northwest Nigeria, released a statement on the 20th saying that 7 villages in the Arewa local government area of the state were attacked by armed bandits on the 18th, resulting in 33 deaths. The statement said that armed men entered the villages on the 18th with guns, intending to steal livestock, and the villagers collectively resisted the invasion. A total of 33 people died in the conflict.
