A cruise ship caught fire on its way back to Singapore, resulting in the death of one crew member.

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore said in a statement on the 20th that at around 4am that day, a Liberia-registered cruise ship, WORLD LEGACY, caught fire while returning to Singapore, resulting in the death of one crew member. Currently, the ship is in stable condition and has anchored at the western anchorage of Singapore. Patrol boats from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, the Police Coast Guard, and the Singapore Civil Defense Force Maritime Department have been dispatched to the scene. The Maritime Authority stated that besides the unfortunate death of one crew member, no other reports of injuries to crew members or passengers have been received.
