The "Snow Dragon" ship, which is carrying out the 42nd Chinese Antarctic research expedition, is currently in the Ross Sea near the Qinling Station. Today, the ocean team on the "Snow Dragon" successfully recovered a set of submersible buoys deployed last year in the Ross Sea. Despite the strong winds exceeding 20 meters per second in the Ross Sea, the ocean team members overcame the challenges and successfully recovered the set of buoys, which included two sediment traps, an Andra current meter, an acoustic releaser and other equipment, after more than three hours of effort. This marks the fourth set of buoys successfully recovered by the ocean team on the "Snow Dragon" in this research expedition. Just the day before, the ocean team also successfully deployed a new set of submersible buoys in the same area.
