McDonald's Korea Company announced on Thursday that it will raise the prices of 35 menu items starting on Friday, with an average increase of 2.4% due to rising costs. This price increase comes less than a year after the company's last price adjustment in March 2025, when prices of 20 menu items were raised by an average of 2.3%. The company stated in a press release, "Due to the weakening of the Korean won against the US dollar, raw material costs have increased, and labor costs have also risen, so this price adjustment is unavoidable." Earlier this month, Burger King also raised prices on its products in Korea for similar reasons, with the price of its signature "Whopper" burger increasing by 200 Korean won to 7,400 Korean won.
