Partial lifting of EU sanctions on Zimbabwe
The EU delegation in Zimbabwe issued a statement on the 18th, saying that the EU has lifted travel bans and asset freeze sanctions against individuals and entities in Zimbabwe, but at the same time announced that the arms embargo will be extended for one year. The statement, citing a news release from the EU official website, said that after the annual review of the restrictive measures related to Zimbabwe, the EU decided to lift the provisions implementing the travel ban and asset freeze, but at the same time extend the arms embargo on Zimbabwe until February 20, 2027.
