Ford has announced the engineering details of its electric vehicle platform, aiming to launch a mid-size electric pickup truck priced at around $30,000. The vehicle has 15% better aerodynamics performance than its competitors, using a 48-volt architecture, lithium iron phosphate rectangular batteries, and large one-piece castings to reduce the number of parts and assembly time. Ford's stock fell 0.3% in early trading on Wednesday.
