According to a report from Jibang Consulting, in January 2026, the domestic energy storage market in China welcomed a "good start", with the total bidding volume surpassing 72GWh for the month. State-owned enterprises played a key role in contributing to the increase in bid volume for 2026. The total winning bid volume reached 24.64GWh, with impressive performances from Ningxia, Xinjiang, and Hebei. Overall, the EPC prices saw a slight decrease, while the prices for 2-hour energy storage systems saw a slight increase. The winning bid price range for 2-hour energy storage systems is between 0.49-0.61 yuan/Wh, with a weighted average price of 0.51 yuan/Wh, representing a 14% increase compared to the previous period. The average winning bid price for 4-hour energy storage systems is 0.42 yuan/Wh, a decrease of 12% compared to the previous period.
