Snap launches creator subscription feature, driving revenue diversification.

Snap has launched a subscription feature that allows creators to receive ongoing income directly from their most active fans, in order to help the social media company reduce its reliance on advertising. This feature, called "Creator Subscriptions", is initially only open to a small number of Snapchat creators. Users will be able to pay to subscribe to their favorite creators and receive exclusive content, including directly sent photos or videos, as well as access to subscriber-only Stories and send text replies, which may be featured at the top of the creator's public Story.
