A maritime firefight incident involving light weapons occurred in the southwestern waters of Aden, Yemen.

On the 17th local time, according to the UK Maritime Trade Operations Office, a maritime security incident occurred in the waters about 70 nautical miles southwest of Aden, Yemen. The report stated that a ship was approached by a small white boat carrying 5 individuals, and a light weapon exchange occurred between the two sides. Two other small boats were also found active near the incident area. Currently, relevant departments are conducting an investigation into the matter.
